The Enugu Rangers will continue their continental march in their quest to bring the Caf Confederation Cup back to Nigeria.

The Flying Antelopes had earlier on defeated the Defense Force of Ethiopia 2-0 in the Coal City. Today they continued that dominance in Addis Ababa where in front of circa 35,000 fans they snuffed the local team out 3:1.

Defense Force also known as Mekelakeya, is the second most successful club in Ethiopian football history with 11 top division titles, with the most recent coming in 1989. Their dominance in the early years of Ethiopian football was cemented with 6 titles in the span of 8 years from 1949 to 1956.

After relative dormancy in the 1960s and 1970s, the club returned to its dominant ways in the 80's by winning 4 titles. The club also has enjoyed success in the Ethiopian Cup, winning it 13 times.

But the Nigerian Federation Cup champion could care less, as they controlled the ball for 56% of the game even after giving up a third-minute penalty. They came back strong scoring three straight goals in the 35th, 40th and 80th minutes.
