The Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Digital, New Media, Tolu Ogunlesi, has reacted to a short audio clip that has gone viral online, in which Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi allegedly spoke ill about the President.
The Minister who is also the DG of Buhari campaign can be heard allegedly saying ‘the President doesn’t read’. “The President doesn’t listen to anyone, he doesn’t care anymore. Does he read?”, he said.
The 7-seconds audio has however sparked controversy on if it was meant for President Buhari or Goodluck Jonathan, given that the former Governor of Rivers State had a faceoff with the former President.
Ogunlesi identified the clip as being "from 2014 or so. At the height of Amaechi’s fight with GEJ."
Not so says Reno Omokri (above) who was a former aide to President Goodluck Jonathan, and who released the audio. He shared: "We have more of the secretly recorded audios of @ChibuikeAmaechi, DG of the @MBuhari campaign, saying terrible things about Buhari’s govt. I hear Reno Omokri wants to lie that he was referring to GEJ. Let him do that and I will release part 2 which clearly show he referred to Buhari."

“The President does not listen to anybody. Does he even read?,”
“In fact, he hero worshipped former President Obasanjo in the tape and said he is the only worthy Nigerian leader. They know the truth, but hide it!”
