Burundi have thrown Group A of the ongoing CAF U-20 AFCON wide open as they came back three times to force host Niger Republic to a 3 – 3 draw at the Stade General Seyni Kountche on Tuesday Night.
With the result, Nigeria, South Africa, and the Niger Republic have been thrown into a final group matchday frenzy as all three teams will need a win to progress to the semi-final stage of the competition and book a ticket to the FIFA 2019 U-20 World Cup in Poland from May 25 to June 16.
Nigeria will face host Niger Republic at the Stade General Seyni Kountche in a must win encounter while South Africa will face Burundi and a win will guarantee them a place in the semi final and a 2019 World Cup ticket.
In Group B Ghana tops the table with three points followed by Senegal also on three points while Burkina Faso and Mali are on zero points. Mali will face Burkina Faso today while while Senegal will face Ghana for a chance to go top.
