Nigerians have always eaten well regardless of tribe. Now they are also learning to eat healthily. One such provocateur or element of this welcome change is Chef Sharon Ehijator.
Also known as a blogger, she is the Executive Chef at Crave a new culinary platform in Nigeria whose main concept revolves around health and taste. Yummy in the Crave concept means not just good for the belly but good for the body and tongue.
Deprived of cooking while being 'encouraged' to read books initially, Ms Ehijator (below) obtained a degree in Mass Communication before returning to her true love, namely cooking
Since then she has been able to merge the two together. Not only have her recipes, combinations, pairings and presentation of old Nigerian staples wowed thousands but so have her new ones and the sound recommendations and advice revealed on her blog.
Her new twists and attention to ingredients and the role they play in our health and longevity have catapulted her to be among the Top 50 Chefs to watch in Nigeria.
The Awareness Kitchen certainly thinks so.
According to her "Crave is a unique personalised food outfit designed to soothe your every culinary desire. From easy -peasy mouth-watering recipes - to jaw-dropping complicated creations, we provide unbiased reviews of food from around the world, best street food spots to sample, as well as participation in live chats with chefs across the globe".
