Many Nigerians, especially in the South East and Edo state, went to bed last night with a smile on their faces upon hearing the first whispers that kidnapped Justice Iheme Nwosu has finally been released.
The Awareness went on to exclusively confirm the whispers as being true and the smiles have now turned to full and permanent grins. For the breaking story click here
Nigerians we quick to react and the Awareness spoke to some on the streets of Owerri and Nkwerre where the judge hails from
In the Imo State capital Victory Nnwake, a graduating IMSU student shared his joy by saying:
" This is indeed good news as the Judge is well known in Owerri and has done so much for the state. We thank God for his infinite mercy and pray that these wicked occurrences come to an end."
Onyi Nzerim from FMC was just as happy chiding in :
" This is great and we commend all who played a role in helping to secure her release. Her family must be elated."
In Nkwerre the happy news has also been making the rounds from the palace of the Eshi himself, who BTW begged repeatedly for the release of the Justice alongside monarchs of the state, to the sleepy villages that make up the town it has been again, all smiles.
People are walking around on cloud nine and the business at the beer parlours has been very busy as they remained open to the wee hours of the morning celebrating the news.
Nze Iwedi Ojinmah, who works for the Awareness confirmed this from Nkwerre saying:
"This is indeed fantastic news and shows that no matter how much in life we are confronted by evil, to remain firm in our belief in God and that whatever the problem is, it too shall pass.
" While we still sort out the details of her Lordships release there is a need to thank the various people and organizations that rallied behind her cause. They would include the President, Muhammadu Buhari himself, the Edo State Police and it's amazing boss AIG Dibal Yakadi, Public Relations Officer, DSP Chidi Nwabuzor who assured us that she would be found no matter what, all major players from Zone 5, as well as all other security agencies that participated in the operation.
" We must also say a big thank you to her honour's colleagues at the Nigerian Bar Association with a specific mention going to both the Imo and Edo State chapters that conducted effective 3-day boycotts of the Courts to protest her capture and keep the issue in the news. The Orlu Chapter was very vocal as well.
" Special kudos to both Chief Mike Ozekhome (SAN) and the President of the NBA Paul Usoro (SAN) for repeatedly shaking the tree.
" Then we must also appreciate the general public for remaining vigilant and providing the countless leads and tips that kept the kidnappers uncomfortable and without a moment of peace.
" In conclusion now that we have a happy ending we must not forget the slain police orderly Inspector A. I. Momoh and his family and make sure they are taken care off and they get full justice for their relative." Nze Ojinmah, ended.
The Awareness will keep monitoring all developments regarding the ongoing saga and share them on all our platforms.
