“Sad to be leaving the continent…for now. Africa will define the future (especially the bitcoin one!). Not sure where yet, but I’ll be living here for 3-6 months mid-2020” Dorsey tweeted.
Recall that the bearded and scarf wearing 43-year-old tech exec was in Ethiopia earlier this week, as part of his month-long tour across the continent that he already tweeted about. He plan making this tour in October. He said he would be meeting with entrepreneurs especially in the tech sector in Ethiopia, Ghana, Nigeria, and South Africa.
The truth behind Dorsey’s trip to Africa is yet to be unraveled and whether it will signal a change remains to be seen. But Jack is not the only tech top executive who is planning travelling to Africa.
Also former Alibaba Group Chairman Jack Ma was also in Ethiopia this week, where he signed an agreement to establish a new trade platform that will serve the continent.
