Understandably one of the happiest people was coach Brendan Rodgers who provided the positive fitness update by sharing:
:"Wilfred Ndidi has made great progress, he’s out on training pitch working, which is great news for us, but he won’t be available for the weekend. We’ll see after that."
There is a reason for his joy and all of Leicester City knows this as do the Super Eagles' fans in Nigeria. Both teams simply don't function as well when the midfield General is missing.
Of the eight matches Ndidi has not featured for Leicester City in the Premier League since his arrival from Genk in January 2017, the Foxes have managed to win only twice, against Arsenal (May 2018) and Sheffield United (August 2019).
This year despite their sizzling form earlier on they were unable to beat Southampton and Villa with Number 25 missing.
While the Nigerian international will miss tomorrow's Premier League clash against Burnley there is no doubt that he will be back sooner than later if his recuperation continues at this breathtaking speed.
